Book Review: Caught by Margaret Peterson Haddix - By Lela Star

If you haven't read this series yet and you want to get this book, you should start on book number one, Found. The story would make more sense this way, as there are SO MANY plot twists that it can get confusing otherwise!

But before you do that, read this review. Jonah, an adopted missing child from history, and his non-biological sister Katherine are time travellers. JB is a time agent from the future who tries his best to keep them safe.

In the future, there are some extraordinary weapons, such as the Elucidator, which can make calls, teleport people, make people travel in time, in short, it can do just about anything!

When time unexpectedly freezes in Jonah’s 7th grade science class, it’s obvious that something’s wrong. Five minutes later, they are zooming through time and they land in 1903, right next to Albert and Mileva Einstein themselves! Without Jonah and Katherine’s knowing, Mileva snatches the Elucidator from them and keeps it in her pocket as she embarks on a long journey to visit her eighteen-month-old daughter, Lieserl. In the train, Mileva suddenly realizes that two unwelcome visitors are present. They have gotten caught! Now, with a person from the past having the knowledge of time travel, will Jonah and Katherine be able to save time? And with a thirteen-year-old Lieserl in place of the eighteen-month-old one, is it possible for them to keep Lieserl secret, and Mileva’s mouth shut?

This book is so full of suspense and cliffhangers that it is almost impossible to not read it in one sitting! My favorite part is the GIGANTIC plot twist at the end that I won’t spoil. You’ll have to read it to find out!
