For my birthday, my neighbor Susan gave me a brownie recipe, which I tried immediately. The brownies tasted astonishingly amazing, and even though they didn’t turn out as expected, they tasted just as good, if not more!


Ingredients:

  • ½ cup butter

  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder

  • ¾ cup brown sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • ½ cup flour

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • ½ tsp baking powder

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

2. Melt the butter

3. Add the cocoa powder and sugar

4. Set the butter mixture aside

5. In small mixing bowl, beat 2 eggs well for about 6-8 minutes

6. When the volume has doubled and it’s full of air, add the vanilla


ree

7. Fold in the flour, salt, and baking powder


ree

8. Blend the 2 mixtures together


ree

9. Pour into a 8” x 8” buttered pan (I used a circular one)

10. Bake 15 min @ 350 degrees then 20 min @ 325 degrees

11. Either cut it up or eat it as a cake (I chose the latter)
